My failures are what have made me successful! Don't get me wrong...failing was painful!
I'm not someone who just wants
to tell you what to do. I am just like you: cold prospecting, looking for buyers to engage with.
Because I'm in the trenches with you, I know firsthand how resistant buyers are. How we sold even two years ago is different today!
If you have ever struggled, then I'm you! I’m a self-proclaimed grinder. From a very young age, I was not afraid to run into a wall; I was headstrong. I knew what I wanted, but I often struggled to figure out how to get there!
I wish I could tell you that I’ve had an amazing, easy experience, but honestly, my story has been filled with many landmines along my road to success.
Today, I’m grateful for the hard times, as I recognize the value of what I learned from those lessons. I don’t think I would have the knowledge or success without those experiences.
I have been in sales for 30+ years. I've always been responsible for creating new opportunities, and I still prospect every week.
I've been in just about every sales situation you can imagine; I've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I've been selling since 4th grade, if you count the endless fundraisers where I had to sell crazy things like pizza, pies, candles, and other stuff.
Over the course of my career, I’ve definitely experienced the highs of success. But I've also put myself in some situations in which I believed I would never be successful again. The hard days were really hard.
I’ve seen money slip through my fingers faster than sand. I don't recommend this experience!
I’ve worked for people who made my life super hard. I have had contract changes where the commission was cut in half. I’ve been lied to about the reality of the position and the potential it would have. I even had a CEO ask me to send back a significant amount of my commission because they felt the commission was too much, even though it was clearly laid out in my contract.
In a weird twist, I’m thankful for those hard times. They taught me exactly all the things I’ll never do, and it allowed me to find my inner strength. Along the way, I found my purpose and the gifts I was given to help other people.
It makes me so happy to hear THANK YOU from clients I've helped be more successful in sales!
Selling today is harder than ever, and if you are in sales, you know that!
It is very easy for a prospect to delete you from their inbox. Today, everyone is trying to manage their inbox, so prospects delete and unsubscribe from email because they don't believe or trust you will bring value to them.
Unfortunately, you and your email become collateral damage.
Part of the reason selling is harder now is that buyers do not trust sales reps, and they are seeking a sales rep-free buying experience.

Your buyers are busy, but they still want help!
You can stand out from your competitors through email, but you must use email correctly.
Long gone are the days of pitching and convincing that you can help them, as buyers don’t believe you, nor do they want to waste time.
However, email works because you have complete control of showing your targets the information they are missing, which could cause them much pain.
I LOVE helping people and being in sales can be a very lonely job with a TON of pressure!
My gift is having a cold email process that makes engaging prospects easier.
Selling in today's environment is not easy, so having an edge that your competitors are not using provides you with that advantage.
Let your competitors swim in the commodity pool while you enjoy the success of having prospects look to you for advice.
Every week, I see emails where the sales team is busy pitching and trying to convince their cold (or warm) prospect that they can help. There is NO value in pitching a prospect, regardless of whether you are talking or sending an email.
If you are going to stand out, you will need to teach your prospects! (Trust me, you have so much to teach).
You need to start by piquing the prospect's curiosity right from the subject line. Your email body has to show them you know something valuable, and you have to reduce their perception of friction in having a chat with you.
These are two of the most important attributes as I work with clients.
Over my career I've worked with companies you'd recognize, like Microsoft, Disney, NASDAQ, Adobe, and IBM.
I've also worked with startups, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, individual sales reps, and marketers.
I'm keeping nothing to myself.
I've created templates, and I share my secrets for engaging cold prospects.
I wish I could tell you this is magic, but it is not. It is a process that aligns with the prospect and allows you to engage more easily.
Do the right work, follow my steps, and see how prospects look to you to help them make the right decisions.
